Symposium Objectives:
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) is hosting a Research Symposium on October 24th,
2019, in an effort to celebrate the success of our researchers, increase visibility of the research portfolios
within the disciplines, outline a future direction of the Faculty’s Strategic Research Plan, and foster
collaboration amongst faculty.

Poster Competition Overview:
The Student Poster Competition, which will be hosted at the Research Symposium, is an opportunity
for graduate research students (as well as summer research students and post-docs) within the FEAS to
network, present their work, and become more familiar with research work being performed in other areas
of engineering.

All poster team members are invited to attend the Research Symposium tracks throughout the day. Only
the presenter of the poster will be eligible for an invitation to the Research Symposium banquet dinner
following the day’s event. Additionally, cash prizes will be awarded for winning ($400/each), and an
honorable mention ($200/each).
